  1. There were a number of witnesses, those standing on the balcony with him as well as the folks in the street who saw it happen.


  2. MLK was not alone when he was shot.  Jessie Jackson was standing right by him and he was shot in a very public place.  others that were with King at the time were Reverend Ralph Abernathy, Ben Branch and Rev. Samuel "Billy" Kyles.
