Now all the continents are floted apart and they are not a large landform anymore. From research I think that all the continents were together at one point. I can prove my research by the landforms, that is what causes earthquakes. The ocean plates push against the North America Plate. That is why we have bad earthquakes in California.

  1. Actually, the landforms are obvious since good maps were made and geology advanced, it wasn't until people came up with a mechanism for moving the plates in the 60's that it was taken seriously.

And I think it is more likely that the Pangaeans got into feuds with each other and used primitive axes and spuds to break up the land and push the pieces apart.

  2. Yes, Pangea was the super continent. At the beginning of earth, there was one landmass surrounded by water but the shifting of the tectonic plates gradually caused the landmass to split into several pieces that slowly drifted apart over time. This is a proven theory.

  3. Good job buddy. You don't seem to have a question though.

  4. Actually, Pangaea was not the first supercontinent. And will not be the last. The continental plates keep bumping into each other, and then breaking apart. You will find more info on Wikipedia. See link.
