Is this really a shot at Romney before he's even officially announced as McCain's VP choice?

"The vice president really only has two duties. One is to cast a tie-breaking vote in the case of a tied vote in the Senate. And the other is to inquire daily as to the health of the president. ... Look, I would be very careful that everybody understood that there's only one president."

  1. Yes and I think any other candidate who he might chose, Romney Graham Crist etc. It really is amazing how stubborn both candidates seem as individuals, or the perception played by the media about the presidency. They both seem to see the role of the presidency as almost a lone individuals job totally ignoring the obvious that every president after Eisenhower has needed their vice president choice to carry them into the White House.

  2. I think a lot of people view the real power behind the Bush presidency as being Cheney.  McCain is, in his own way, laying any fears to rest that he's not strong enough to be the real president.  He's quietly implying that he would be the boss, nobody else.

"The office of Vice President isn't worth a bucket of warm p**s." - John Nance Garner, 32nd VP of the United States

  3. from what I read here, I wish we could have

    McCain / Huckabee
