Question:

Was this a caffeine headache?

I usually have 2-3 caffeinated drinks daily (tea in the morning and a couple sodas or some coffee during the day). Yesterday I had no caffeine and around 5pm I got a headache, and later a stomach ache and hot and cold flashes. Before I went to bed I drank a diet coke, and this morning I still had a headache. I just took some Excedrin and within 10 minutes my headache was gone.

  1. Oh my God!  I'm going through the same thing, only I'm trying to wean myself off caffeine.  I tried to stop cold turkey and I got the bad headaches.  I guess your body is used to you drinking the coffees, teas, and sodas....when you stop, you get the headache.

Whenever I get them bad, I have coffee and they go away.  I'm addicted.  :-(

  2. Could be...it happens to me as well!

  3. it might be

i had the same headache before when i did not get the chance to drink my coffee on the morning

  4. That sounds like a caffeine headache to me.  When I have that much caffeine for a few weeks, I do get a headache if I don't have caffeine by about 1 pm.
