Question:

Was this a good Fantasy Baseball trade?

I had (and still have) a wealth of everyday talent, and needed pitching badly. The trade was:

I give

Mark Teixeira

Corey Hart

Tim Wakefield

I get:

Carlos Delgado

Paul Konerko (I know, I already dropped him for Alex Gordon)

Ryan Dempster

I also have David Ortiz, Casey Kotchman, Troy Glaus, Jose Reyes, Dan Uggla, Casey Blake, Adam Dunn, Rick Ankiel, Garrett Anderson, and Alex Gordon, so like I said I am loaded with position players.

I think it was worth it since I needed the pitching badly and the guy I traded to is several places behind me in the standings and even with the upgrades in hart and Teixeira not likely to challenge for a playoff spot.

  1. I think you achieved what you wanted to and did upgrade your pitching however,You really hurt yourself at first base.Teixeira is one of those guys you would consider a second half stud.He explodes offensively after the all star break.Konerko and Ortiz are hurting and will not put up their traditional numbers.I think your best move right now would be to pick up Davis 1st baseman for Texas for Konerko.I would probably try to deal Dunn before the deadline because he is a true fantasy counterproductive player.Jis average nulifies his offensive stats.Good luck to you the rest of the year.

  2. I like what you did here, Dempster is gonna help your pitching and Carlos will make up for the power you lose via Teixeira. Picking up Gordon is a good move for he's starting to hit like his pre-season hype said he would.Good Trade and Good Luck.

  3. good trade he needs offense and you need pitching good trade
