I traded Peyton Manning, Roy Williams, and Antwaan Randel El for Derek Anderson, Chad Johnson, and Donte Stallworth

  1. It's a fairly balanced deal.

    Randle-El is almost a throw away.  He's not consistent enough to be more than an occasional sport-starter or flex play.

    Roy Williams ended last season on Injured Reserve, and he'll carry injury risk into this season.

    Peyton Manning is one of the top 2 QBs.

    Derek Anderson put up impressive numbers last season, but in a last place Cleveland schedule.

    You got a nice upgrade at both wideouts in exchange for a downgrade at QB.

    The deal hinges on Anderson.  If he performs as well or better than last season, you win.  You also got a nice potential double-dip with Stallworth who should benefit from a lot of attention paid to Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow.

    Too early to tell, but it should work out fine.


  2. Not really because you lost a great QB but you gained an outstanding receiver, but Chad is only a little better than Williams. Randel El has speed which you could have used. Even though you got D. Stallworth which is only a little better than Randel El. Without a great QB to throw to these new receivers how are they suppose to excel in their game. I say you made a bad trade, and should have kept what you had. It was not a good trade, also how is Anderson going to help you. You should have kept the QBs out of the deal, Peyton Manning is not worth giving up for Derek Anderson. Has Anderson ever made it to the Super Bowl? Has he won a playoff game?

Chad Johnson is an upgrade over Roy only slightly.  Stallworth is a pretty significant upgrade over Ranle El considering all of the receiving options in Washington.  Anderson is a downgrade from Manning, but not one that is as significant as it sounds.  However, the total impact of the trade should be extremely positive.  GOOD TRADE!

  4. Not at all! Anderson has only put up good numbers for one year, he may be a fluke. Not sure what Chad will do this year. I think you got fleeced!
