I traded Chipper Jones for Josh Hamilton. Mark Reynolds is my backup 3B.

  1. No way!!!  Great trade for you.  Chipper has some serious quad injury and Hamilton is still palying great.  Chippers average will come down and level out and he may end up on the DL later this year too.  Good for you man, Reynolds is a serviceable player too.

  3. it wasnt stupid at all. chipper will loose more playing time since he is just starting to realize that he is not young anymore. hamilton is a little banged up but as soon as he gets healthy he will crush the ball again. u have a good 3rd baseman in reynolds dont beat your self up for a great deal.

  4. No way!! That was a great trade! Chipper Jones is starting to wear down, and Josh Hamilton is on pace to be the AL MVP. Mark Reynolds has 16 Homeruns and 47 RBI's, along with a .250 average, so I would say you are doing quite well...and that you got the better end of the deal, seeing as who your backup third baseman is.

  5. This is actually a very good trade.. chipper is falling apart.. josh is on track to having a MVP type year.. GOOD TRADE!
