  1. I Hate To Say It But It Looks Like A Suicide Attempt... It Wouldn't Make Sense To Use Codeine, Diazepam, and Morphine Otherwise Considering That Codeine and Morphine Are Both Opiates And Would Cause The Same Desirable Therapeutic Effects As Valium(Diazepam). I Would Say That He Was Uncomfortable With The Pain Cause By The Injection Of One Of The Drugs And Mixed It With Lidocaine To Limit Any Suffering, Something A Recreational Drug User Of Such A High Caliber Would Be Adapted To. It Could Might Also Be An Attempt At Some Form Of A Hallucinogenic Speed Ball Considering The Large Number Of Conflicting Chems In Addition To DXM. But Regardless I Wish You The Best With This Terrible Situation.

  2. sorry to hear about your brother. i'm assuming your brother was a functioning addict. he probably just had a bit too much of one of those drugs in his system to cause his death. he probably wasn't perscribed all this medicine by one doctor...he probably went to a few...or else he just bought or traded drugs.

  3. it was probably drug abuse but it could have been both, like he might have ha a problem and to get rid of it, he used drugs. i dont know him or anything about him so that dosnt really help.

  4. tox. screens scan over a period of 6 months. I see on this list four meds that are for pain. Which even in a six month time period is highly unlikely that he was prescribed that amount. A person can over dose on cocaine but considering the mass amount of prescription pills I would say that he used prescription pills to get high and yes probably accidently overdosed however I don't know your brothers history, but given this list of meds and knowing the time span of a tox screen I would say that it was a drug overdose and not a suicide. as far as being prescribe that many meds...in todays time it most likely does not take much to get various prescription drugs if you know the right people. Just like street drugs.

  5. Some of those compounds are metabolites of one drug, for example Codeine and Acetylcodeine, or Hydroxybupropian and Bupropian.

He could easily have been prescribed all these medicines over the course of a year or two--especially if he went to his doctor for pain and got one prescription, then came back in 2 weeks and told the doctor that it wasn't working. The doctor would have tried another medicine and told him to stop the first one.  He wouldn't have been prescribed all of them at once.

Most people who overdose intentionally pick one drug and take a big dose, they don't take a little bit of 10 different drugs, so to answer your original question, my gut feeling is careless drug use, but of course, you'll never know.
