Was this object a ufo?

a couple of months ago it was night and i was looking at the sky. it kinda looked like a lazy plane, it wasn't flying, just kind of gliding or floating through the sky, and i think there was a light? is this a ufo? btw this is serious

If it stayed on a straight course you were probably seeing the International Space Station (ISS).

If it was unidentified, it was unidentified.  Most people would admit that gliding or floating is flying.

Is this a UFO - in the sense of the question "did i see space aliens"?  Not from your description.  You'd need much better evidence.  I can think of dozens of things it might be. To narrow it down, you'd have to talk about the seeing conditions, the lighting, details about the object, describe the light in detail and so on.

In truth if you did not or could  not recognise it....It was a UFO.....Unidintified Flying (or floating) Object

NO such thing as UFOs thats just absolutely ridiculous. There has to be a logical explanation for what you saw. It could've been a helicopter.

I'm guessing by UFO you mean "ALIEN SPACESHIP".  Since interstellar distances preclude interstellar travel, the answer is NO you didn't see an alien spaceship.  There are no alien spaceships buzzing rednecks and creating pretty designs in fields of corn.

well since the definition of a ufo is unidentifed flying object, so if you couldn't indentify it and it was flying then yes it was a ufo :)

NO... just a plane... UFO don't and can't exist because scientist have no proof of any other life existing that would have the technology and brain power to create "the power of flight"  and plus if mars is lifeless... where would these aliens have come from...?

As a whole, I tend to be rather conservative in the issue of UFOs. However, the definition of what a UFO does not seem to be commonly understood by a lot of people.

U = Unidentified

F = Flying

O = Object

In other words, a UFO is anything that's flying and you don't know what it is.
