Was this punishment fair and how would you have punished me?

Hi guys, this is another post about my punishment from my stepmom of 3 years, michelle (Shell). I'm female and 16 years old. My dad was away with work for 2 weeks so Shell was lookin after me. I was babysitting my little sisters (age 4 & 6) &shell gave me money to buy them lunch & take them to buy a skirt & 2 tops each & told me to take change home. I had wanted a cute miniskirt for ages & shell wouldn't let me buy it so i spent the change on the miniskirt & belt then a pack of 20 f**s. I got home before Shell and tried on miniskirt but when she got back she walked in on me wearin it & smokin (they thought i stopped smoking 6months ago!) Shell had already confiscated my cell & grounded me from a previous offence 2 weeks ago so she added another 2 weeks onto being grounded. That night i climbed out my window to meet my boyfriend & we went drinking. Got drunk and came back at 2am completely smashed (2 1/2 hours after my usual curfew). Shell caught me & took me upstairs. In mornin she was havin a go at me so i told her to f**k off so she gave me 2 VERY HARD spanks with her hand on my jeans. She then confiscated my phone for a further week. I slapped her and walked out...she grabbed my wrist, gave me 5 hand spanks bare and made me go to my room where i kicked in the door. Was my punishment fair & how would you have punished me??

I do not have teenagers yet, so I can't say for sure what I would have done.  Does your step mother usually handle your discipline, or does your dad do it, or both?  If Shell is your step-mom, and she usually handles your discipline, then I would say the grounding is spot on.  If she told you that you could not have that miniskirt, then you deliberately disobeyed her by purchasing it (the smokes are another issue altogether if they thought you'd stopped smoking!).  When she spanked you after you snuck out and came back intoxicated, it sounds like she is very frustrated with your behavior and doesn't know what else to do.  And by you telling her to f*** off, you are only provoking her anger.  I know you're a teenager, and that's what you do.  Do you really hate your step mom or do you just like to p**s her off and see what she'll do?  You may not like her now (maybe you do, I don't know), and I know it's hard being a teenager and trying to prove you're worthy of independence and a little trust.  But you have to EARN your parents' trust.... that means obeying when they say no to miniskirts, and not sneaking out of the house and getting drunk.  When you can prove to them that they really can trust you, then they will!!

I think that you got off easy.  Your stepmom should have taken a hairbrush and blistered your bare f***y until it was crimson red.
