Question:

Was this real or am I imagining things?

I have this memory from childhood, around ten years ago i guess, of seeing a commercial for a Ouija board on a KID'S TV channel like Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network. I remember it being in the style of a typical kid's board game commercial, and I remember the kids in the commercial saying stuff like,

"You're moving it!"

"I'm not moving it, you're moving it!"

Am I imagining this, because it seems to me unlikely that occult paraphernalia would be allowed to be advertised on kid TV stations.

Any answers?

  1. I don't remember that specific commercial, but I think it is quite likely.  The ouija board is just a game.  It is not a game I would choose to play or let my children play because of what it is based on, but many people consider it quite harmless.

  2. true, most people think its fake but i remember the same commercial

my opinion on the thing i cant relly think of if its true or not i need to actually touch one my self =)

  3. I think you are remembering it accurately.  I remember a commecial also.

The Ouija Board is a Parker Brothers "game".  And we all know Parker Brothers advertises heavily on channels aimed at a young audience.

We should write Parker Brothers and ask who gave them pemission to peddle occult practices to our children!

  4. Oh yes, I remember those commercials too. Even then I knew better than to mess around with that stuff because you never know what can happen. There's spiritual energy around everywhere, don't give it a portal to step through.

  5. I could've sworn i saw that video on youtube. Thats really weird.

  6. Yes, I totally remember those commercials.  It's for a quija board.  But no you're not imagining it, I remember those commercials being on during after school cartoons.
