Was this rude of me???

Question

I was entering a mall and I was approached by this woman walking towards me and she said to me "is that back door open?" My answer was "I am not sure". I had come in the front entrance and was not sure about the back entrance being open. It was after hours and only a few places were open. She repeated the question again and I said "I don't know". To this she became quite aggressive saying "Excusssee meee" and so on and I turned around and said "Why you being rude and then get a life" I just couldn't get this person. She understood that I was saying I didn't know and I didn't. It was as if she thought I had some obligation to her to give her some full report and the answer she wanted, whatever that was. And her whole attitude was unfriendly as well. It wasn't, "hey, is that door open - smile", she was acting hostile sort of and mean. Am I correct in saying that she was rude? I never would have said anything to her, but I had had a long day and she was being really flip.

She was properly just a spoil brat how always gets what she wants, and you did not give that to her.

Don't let people like that get under your skin, they ate not worth it.

Rude is often a cultural thing. Wat is rude to you may not be to a Sheppard in Kwazolo Natal. They alwais answer "Yes"

It is frustrating, you never know what to do. So you have to ask a question like what door can I go to so I can get out this building.

Maybe she needs to speak to one of them.

She was mad at someone else and you are just the unlucky one to get in her way.
