i think that even though boss is a good T.E. shockey is better and he would of recovered and they could of alternated between who plays when but i think it was a horrible decision and boss is not at shockey's level

  1. Not if your Sean Payton and the saints

  2. I like shockey although i wish he came to the bears but it is a decent trade

  3. I think it's a good move for the Saints since Shockey thrived when Sean Payton was in New York in that offense.

  4. I think it's an excellent move. Let him poison someone else's locker room for a while. He is a very talented player who is too into himself and his own abilities. His ego is too big to function well in a Team sport.

  5. Why? The Giants won the super bowl WITHOUT Shockey playing, plus he said he didn't want to be there anymore, so what more could they do? They had to get rid of him.

  6. He didn't do diddly for them while they were in the process of going to the Super Bowl and winning it. Good riddance.

  7. they won the superbowl without him..so he became expendible..salary cap purposes..

  8. Shockey was a beast his first season with Payton, and Brees loves the TE as a receiver (Gates). This was a brilliant pickup by the Saints and I don't see the Giants losing too much. History goes to show that if a receiver is discontented with the team he's on, he's not going to perform to the best of his capabilities (Moss).

  9. Well, they figure they won a superbowl without him and if they can get good compensation, they won't have to deal with his "issues" as the season progresses. Now it's N.O.'s turn!

  10. Their Superbowl win speaks for itself.

Shockey vs. Eli wasn't the problem...

Their were two major problems with Shock.

    1) cap space, and shock wasn't worth the money with all his injuries, hard headedness, and arguments with the coaches.

    2) he used up too much space in the locker rooms, it's been noted that his jock strap alone needed 1 full locker - the man's a legend.

  11. thia was a good move for both teams. for the giants they dont have pa potential locker room canceron their team that could damage the chemistry they had last year. the giants figure they won the super bowl w/ out shockey last year and he's pulling this i want to be traded stuff. well s***w it we'll ship him.  the giants got value for him and they move on.

the saints got it right becuase this adds another dimension to their already loaded offense. they got mr inside w/ deuce, mr outside w/ reggie, possession wr in colston, and now w/ a te that can stretch the field, play w/ emotion, their offense should score alot of points this year.

  12. The Giants won the Super Bowl without his services, which only proves he was expendable,Straham,on the other hand is another matter

  13. Shockey wasn't playing when the Giants won the superbowl...they don't need him messing with Eli.
