  1. You might Google Victorian era witchcraft, or if you studied the subject during the semester, the answer should be in your textbook.  I'm not sure if you mean assessment or assignment.

  2. That is a deep question given that people accused of witchcraft were not witches, but rather the term was used to persecute heritics. Rises in "witchcraft" rose with the reformation, the counter-reformation and anytime that the government needed a good blood libel.  However, by the time the Victorian era "witchcraft" and the "supernatural" were cultural phenomenons.

If your refering to actual satan worship, another definition of witchcraft, and the witches sabath, than yes, it has existed throughout history.

  3. Yes and before.

  4. Yes, just kept more under wraps.  Witchcraft has been around (under other names) since man came into being.  In other words, it always was, is and will be.

  5. Do your own homework, you'll gain self-respect and a sense of achievement that way.

You might actually consider studying the social history of the Victorian era, it is fascinating.

  6. Yes, Witchcraft has always been around in one way or another. Look for the book, "Not in Kansas Anymore." by Christine Wicker.

  7. There are still people practising witchcraft, so it was certainly around in the Victorian era. That doesn't mean that it isn't just hocus pocus, though.
