Was wondering as an adult what is the youngest memory someone can remember.?

I can only remember stuff from where I was five and just wondering what the youngest memory recall would be.

I remember running around our house in a cloth nappy.  I was about two years old.  And another time I remember someone changing my nappy.

I can remember being about 4 years old, I was wearing one of those all in one pajama things with the feet and trap door, and I was sneaking downstairs to see if Santa had come yet. My parents found me curled up on the floor in front of the tree.

I had long hair..remember my pops cutting it.and my mom didn't want him too..

I remember being in an oxygen tent when I was a baby, I even remember what was on the TV next to it....a lassie movie. I think the reason I remember it is because I balled for hours on end, and I remember the nurses not paying any attention..Its actually very clear in my memory...but I only remember bad things with such detail.

It all depends on the person how early they remember things.  I have memories going back to being two years of age but I was abused at that age and those are the memories I have.  I do remember some things from the age of three or so that are good memories -- like playing in the snow in Louisiana when all our friends had to stay inside because they didn't have winter coats and snow pants like we did because we had just moved from Massachusetts!!

Surprisingly, the earliest memory I have is when my mom was pregnant with me. It was pitch dark, nice and warm, and I felt very safe. The next memory I have after that is drinking out of a bottle.

Nope. You are still a normal person. Everyone has a flash back memory. The thing that usually come is a memory from childhood. :)

All the psychology text books list the minium age for long term memory to be created as being 3, +/- a year since everyone is different.
