I was wondering if anyone knew how to become a storm chaser.. It just seems really fascinating.. I was thinking about becoming one.. I was wondering what it all entailed!!!

ok i think it would be really interesting to become a storm chaser but you have to be very corageous and strong also you have to be a quick thinker. if you are these things that would be the perfect job for you=] Good luck with whatever you choose and god bless

1. You need a car so you can follow the storm.

2. You need a partner that's willing to do the job so just in case something happens to you, there will be help.

3. You need a good video camera and camera.

4. BRAVERY! It is very scarey to storm chase and you need to know when danger is danger and that you MUST leave the storm for your own good.

Well you can start practicing by chasing the next tornado in your area - you just might end up in Kansas.

I think you have to be kind of insane lol. I wouldn't know but yes I agree it's probably interesting, not sure how close I'd wanna get to certain storms though

The best way is to become a meteorologist. I have always wanted to do that. It is awesome watching the meteorologists on locals news channels and the weather channel do a report during a hurricane. You have to take a Skywarn course first and it is helpful to learn ham radio and obtain an amateur license as most cell phones discontinue working during major storms. Sounds pretty simple to me. Just get in a car and drive towards a storm. Watch the weather channel.
