  1. forums are good, also look at misfits.

make sure you don't get it to small either or you won't be able to ride it.

  2. The length board you get is dependant on your weight, height , the type of riding you do and the level of riding you are at. If you want a board mainly for jibbing then you should get a smaller length than you would if you looking for a board to ride kickers or for all mountain riding. So you are right in thinking you would be better off with a smaller board. The youngblood is a good all round freestyle board and will be good for jibbing but if you are mainly into jibbing, rails, buttering etc, you should consider looking at some jib percific boards also like the Rome Artifact, K2 WWW, Apo Selecta, Ride Kink etc. Good luck with the riding.

  3. It would be helpful to know your measurements and your experience so we could help you out.

  4. forget tha forum. get a lib tech skate banana 151 (500 bucks) or a k2 www 151 (370 bucks) with rocker. im 5 8 and ride a 151 so these boards wont be too small for you. they are both great jib boards

  5. I would second the Lib Tech or K2 WWW suggestion - I have seen good reviews for both.  You should check the manufacturers site, they usually have a chart which will take your weight and height and show you what size board to buy.

  6. Yeah watch out for shortie boards, i forget the measurements, but your going to want a board with roughly a foot of board on either side of your feet when strapped in for a 5'10+ person.

At least thats what my board has, but my board is a little big anyway, since i've customized it a bit.

  7. Rome is hands down the best for grinds/jibs/park/street.

Since that's what you'll be doing get a board that is around your chin height or slightly shorter, its hard for me to say a size just by your height.. probably a 144 around there..

definitally check out the rome artifact, you wont regret it , its super flexy and great for park.

check out reviews on it and that will prove it!
