I was very surprised by his death. There was small news over him being hospitalized with pneumonia but nobody, not even his family, knew it was that serious. I mean, we live in the USA you would think that with all his money and the technology we have today there would be ways to prevent complications of this nature.

Not really, Bernie had pneumonia which would kill many a lesser man, and complications set in...!
