Washer and dryer setting??

My parents gave me their old washer and dryer. One setting on the washer says 'permanent press', is this the same as a gentle cycle?

  1. The real big difference is that on permanent press, before the load  goes into rinse it will drain half the water out and pause for about 10 minutes to soak and then go into rinse and then a slow final spin. It will work just fine for delicate articles.  Good Luck


  2. No, permanent press is different from the gentle cycle. But it is a little bit gentler than the normal wash.
