Washing and care instructions for reyon and cotton material?

I just bought a few yards of reyon and cotton fabric and I wanna know how I should wash it when the time comes. Do I hand wash it or is the washing machine okay? Also, what temperature water? cold, warm or hot? what about the dryer setting? THANKS A LOT!

Wash the fabric by hand in mild soap and hang it out to dry.  If it is cotton and rayon then it will shrink if you use hot water.

I always wash and iron my fabric BEFORE I make anything out of it, even if I do not use it for months. That way there are no unpleasant surprises afterwards with shrinkage problems.
