Let's say I was at a baseball game [watching], and it was hot so I sweated nastiness on my flats, could I put them in the washing machine or something to wash them?

They are the kind with the rubber bottoms.

  1. I have the same problem.. I ptu baby powder in them and left it for a few days... It took the smell away

  2. Lysol sometimes helps, but if they stink like mine do you might as well put them in the washer, what have you got to lose, can´t wear them like that.

  3. Just put them in your washing machine. Make sure you use a good detergent. I use MelaPower scent free laundry detergent. It's biodegradeable and has no chemicals in it whatsoever. I've washing tennis shoes before and had no problem with them getting wrecked or anything.

  4. just toss them in the washer on gentle, not a full cycle, maybe 10-15 minutes with a small amount of ammonia
