Washing machine does nothing?

Question

Have an Armana Heavy Duty washing machine. Bought it used and it was a few years old then. Now we've had it for an additional 9 years. It seems to be running louder than usual lately. Today - when the k**b was pulled it would not start. Nothing. Tried a few times and then gave up. Then a few hours later we tried again and it filled with water - and ran the whole cycle.

What could this intermittent problem be? And if you know - what do you think it will cost to fix it?

more than likely seems to be motor issue run windings are  going bad I would consider getting  new one  whirlpool kenmore brand your best bet
