  1. It could be a bra wire behind the drum, switch off the machine and take the back off and check behind the drum incase the wire is still caught in the little holes, also check the pump incase the wire or coin has travelled on and is now in the pump.

Failing that you could check your local paper and get an engineer out who doesn't charge for estimates he will be able to tell you whats wrong.

  2. Run your hand round the drum in case something has got caught in the little holes in the drum.

  3. Only check the parts that are user-serviceable by yourself or you could harm yourself or the machine or negate the guarantee. It is probably a small coin or other object that has come out of a pocket in the wash. If you can't locate it yourself call an engineer as it will be a costly exercise if it becomes lodged in the pump. I know this to my cost. I ended up paying £62.00 for a new pump when £1.20 got stuck in it and broke it. The call out fee was much less.

  4. That description... don't tell anyone but.. its the sock monster lurking about stealing your socks.

  5. probably a small coin caught in the seal somewhere near the door.

  6. I have recently had the same problem with a 5 year old Indesit.  It turned out that some of the concrete block had come away into the space between the drum and the casing making the noise, almost like popcorn popping!  Does it only do it on spin or all the time?  I had to replace my washing machine all together as the main strut broke and that is why the concrete came off coz it was moving around inside too much!!

  7. POKE AROUND BEHIND THE DOOR MAIN SEAL
