Washing purse?

the little tag thing says do not wash 100% cotton

so do u think if i wash it it'll become a mini purse from shrinking?

It is there because the colors may bleed.If it is too dirty anyway,then wash it.Take a large container and fill with cold water,then add Woolite or a gentle detergent.Put the purse in it and just soak it clean.If you have spray and wash use that for hard stains.Then just rinse well and air dry,that way it will not shrink.Hope this helps...


  2. It won't shrink as long as you use cold water to wash it in and rinse it then lay it flat to dry, try to avoid direct sunlight.  You will probably have to iron it some, because the cotton will wrinkle easily.  If you do, I suggest you iron with the lowest setting.  

    If you can I suggest that when you are washing that you wash by hand in a sink with a mild detergent, using a washing machine might be real hard on the stitching, plus you will be able to wash the inside much better by doing it by hand.

  3. No, not if you use cold water to wash and rinse AND allow it to air dry instead of using the dryer.  However, the colours may fade or bleed and the findings may be damaged.
