  1. Are you trying to compare "beauty contestant/local sport girl" Sarah Palin to George Washington, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson because she shoots at mooses and goes to Sunday school?

The Founding Fathers  were intelligent statesmen who wrote the Constitution for the most successful country in history.

Palin is girly fluff that McCain put on his ticket to make him look young and to get the horny teenage boy vote.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

  2. Actually most of them were deists, with strong stance for separation of Church and State. Still here's the difference; 'They sure as h**l weren't fundies'!

“I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibit the free exercise thereof, thus building a wall of separation between church and state.”

    ~ Thomas Jeffers

“Of all the animosities which have existed among mankind, those which are caused by difference of sentiment in religion appear to be the most inveterate and distressing, and ought most to be deprecated. I was in hopes that the enlightened and liberal policy which has marked the present age would at least have reconciled Christians of every denomination, so far that we should never again see their religious ~George Washington

“Until this awful blasphemy [the Incarnation] is got rid of, there never will be any liberal science in the world.”

    ~ John Adams

Religion & Govt. will both exist in greater purity, the less they are mixed together.

    ~ (James Madison)

  3. Real leaders understand that

    YOU CAN NOT LEGISLATE MORALITY

and even in the Bible, the believers are admonished to NOT demand that any non-believers follow GOD's law, because they are non-believers and they don't understand.

There is to be RULE OF LAW

to prevent the capricious and arbitrary application of force

(as demonstrated by Mad King George...)

and where are we in AMERICA today

as to the application of RULE OF LAW,

Does our present Mad  King George respect the LAW?

  4. Liberals put the health of animals and trees over that of unborn babies and soldiers.

  5. they were some of our best leaders.funny how it is bad for her to have strong beliefs ,and be consistent with them, not like obama who has changed his church after 20 years for political reason she stays firm in her beliefs and i admire that. funny jefferson wrote in declaration of independence about God

  6. You cannot compare Washington, Adams,Jefferson to the inexperienced Palin.

  7. Jefferson didn't believe in the bible.  He was a Deist.  Nice try chief.

Question with boldness even the existence of a god; because if there be one he must approve of the homage of reason more than that of blindfolded fear.

-Thomas Jefferson, Letter to Peter Carr, August 10, 1787

Edit: That was Jefferson extracting the morals Jesus was trying to convey.  He admired jesus for his overall morality system.  He never believed in Christianity.

The whole history of these books [the Gospels] is so defective and doubtful that it seems vain to attempt minute enquiry into it: and such tricks have been played with their text, and with the texts of other books relating to them, that we have a right, from that cause, to entertain much doubt what parts of them are genuine. In the New Testament there is internal evidence that parts of it have proceeded from an extraordinary man; and that other parts are of the fabric of very inferior minds. It is as easy to separate those parts, as to pick out diamonds from dunghills.

-Thomas Jefferson, letter to John Adams, January 24, 1814

  8. Jefferson  was a liberal and didn't believe in the Bible.

He was a Deist, which was the closest thing to an atheist/agnostic in the 18th/19th century.

  9. The only political leader I'm ok with is Washington, even he warned America about the dangers of political parties. But their personal life is just sad. Washington was living with his mistress, Adams came into leadership coruptly, and Jefferson, we all know what he did to his slave girls.

  10. No the answer the person above should of stated is "Some of us have grown soft"

Liberals are far from our founding fathers ideals for this country. They are as anti-american as the terrorist their selves.

  11. Great leaders, that's a great argument from the second person...not.

  12. We need to put GOD back into our government and our schools. There would be much less crime if we did.McCain Palin 2008

  13. They were great leaders..

  14. and they owned slaves too - some of us have "evolved"
