Huet wants to wait til July 1st to resign; if he signs elsewhere, are the Caps dumb enough to make a move on Emery (assuming Theodore is asking too much?)

  1. Sucks that they forgot Ollie was on the bench. The man was there his whole career then they brought in someone without BIG game experience...pissed off Kolzig and Now have no goalie...Emery fits in Washington. I think he will be there. And don't be surprised when he remembers how to play net.

  2. I don't like Emery as a person....as a player though, he is great and I have to get over that.

Honestly, the talk is that Emery will be a Bolt, and I don't really like that but you have to look at it from a different perspective...he fits into an offensive system as a goalie and TBL are very very offensive loaded at this time.

Huet was expected to go to TB if Emery or someone else didn't...I haven't heard of many others being interested in him so I think Washington is safe...you will have Huet next year.

    EDIT:

FYI - it seems the Kolzig to TBL is the big thing right now.  Most are expecting Kolzig more than Emery.

  3. I'd hate the Caps to go after Emery............blech.

I still believe Cristobal will sign in Washington.....I mean there's a lot of things I'm still trying to believe in that won't happen, but I just don't see him leaving.

I'd rather see them go after Theodore than Emery even if Theodore is more money.

Emery's attitude is not the same as the res of the Capitals. I just don't think he'd fit in in that organization.

EDIT: Yeah there is. I don't believe in silly rivals and what not. I've been a Caps fan and a Pens fan for a long time. Before Crosby and Ovechkin.

  4. I hope they don't go for Emery. Huet hopefully resigns. Caps may end up overpaying for him, trying to compete with other teams looking at him. They may look at Emery but they may also overpay Theodore.

  5. Huet is close to a deal with the Caps so no worries there. The Washington Post is reporting the deal could be done by next week @ 3years approx 5 million per.
