Washington National and Manny Ramirez?

Lets say the nationals trade some players (I am thinking some one like Austin Kearns) for Manny Ramirez. This will do 2 big things for the nats. This will add alot of depth to there roster and also I think Mannys contract will pay for itself because people are going to want to see manny. You are in Washington D.C. What do you think about this awsome trade?

  1. I have season tickets to the Nationals.

I want Soriano back, not Manny.

Sure people will go watch him, but he won't bring in big revenue because the rest of the team is horrible.

Besides, look at the Nationals team, they don't have enough talent compiling their whole major/minor league rosters to trade for Manny.

  2. I am a die hard Red Sox fan from Boston and you can have Manny and allllllll the baggage that comes with him.  He's a prick!

  3. they would never even think about going for manny

  4. I don't want to see him come to DC.  He's a bum.  He looks like a bum.  Since when was it okay for baseball players to wear baggy pants and spandex socks on their heads?  Baseball is turning into the NBA...

  5. Austin Kearns is considered one of the building pieces for the Nationals so there is no way he's traded. I agree that it would add depth and that starpower we need. But we wouldn't be able to pay Manny. Look what happened with Soriano. He's just as exciting as Manny but we couldn't keep him. And the Red Sox want prospects which we do have a lot of but our farm system is the key to our franchise. In 5-10 years we could have a very good team. All in all I think it's an awesome trade that would do the Nats very well but there are to many things to take into consideration.

  6. Keep dreaming. This won't happen. The Nats are building for the future, and Manny is one gnat that you don't want there right now. Washington is building from the "bottom up," and it's going to take 5 years.

  7. No offense, but YOU WISH.

  8. The Nats don't possibly have enough to trade for a future Hall of Famers and one of the best hitters in the past 30 years. He will remain on the Red Sox for the year and become a free agent.

And as a Sox fan, I want him on my team for the season. Anyone who doesn't want him on their team needs to look at the baseball part of his game, not what he says about the front office. All this stuff came out last night and he still went 3-5 with 2 RBIs and 2 Runs Scored for crying out loud!
