Washington Nationals defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 8-5 in the fourth and final game of their four-match regular series encounter on July 04 at Nationals Park in Washington D.C.
Nationals’ fought well throughout the series and managed to level the series 2-2. Especially in the last game, they played as one unit and rattled the Brewers with big force.
Nationals’ batters and hitters played wonderfully and won with quite ease. Their upfront hitters and pitchers played an attacking game and never allowed the Brewers to take any advantage.
Shortstop Ian Desmond scored two runs on three hits which provided the Nationals a solid ground early in the game. He played brilliantly and remained calm on the plate on his four at bats while he also remained consistent on his
.506 slugging percentage.
"He's a statement player, And definitely somebody who's waiting for his turn in the spotlight," shortstop Ian Desmond said.
Adam LaRoche also did well on the plate as he scored one run two hits. He also ran for an RBI on his four at bats. LaRoche started well and hit hard on his consistent slugging percentage of .437.
"I'm excited, happy for this day, for me, for my family, for my team, They were waiting for me for my return, and I'm happy for this day, and hopefully I will help the team to win a lot of games," Ramos said.
Right fielder Jayson Werth scored two runs on three hits. He ran for an RBI on his three at bats while he remained consistent on his .437 slugging percentage.
"Yeah, that came out all right, You know, once in a while I have a great idea," Johnson said after the game.
Along with batters, the Nationals pitchers also performed wonderfully and crushed the Brewers batting lineup with full force. Nationals’ entire pitching lineup pitched in right areas and won with style.
"Just hung a slider, What are you going to do? It'll not be the last slider I hang, either. I just didn't make the adjustment quick enough," Kintzler said.
Starting pitcher Taylor Jordan pitched 5.2 innings and allowed only two runs on six hits while he remained consistent on his 2.70 ERA.
