Washington Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman showing progress with surgical repaired shoulder
Positive reports are coming in the media that Washington Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman is showing progress after he recently underwent shoulder surgery.
“He knows what he needs to do, If you talk to him, he’ll say he’s right on track to get where he wants to be opening day,” team manager Davey Johnson said.
Johnson added, “I said, ‘Hallelujah,’ He wants to get back to that natural, fluid motion coming to first. I’m excited about that. That’s the best news I’ve had this spring.”
Later Zimmerman said, “I think we feel most comfortable when we’re on the baseball field, To feel uncomfortable is a really bad feeling. It’s like I feel when I do public speaking. But I’m not supposed to feel like that when I’m playing baseball.”
Zimmerman last played for the Nationals in the 2012 Major League Baseball season and showed good performance with .282 hitting average along with 25 home runs, 95 RBIs and .346 OBP.
Along with a good last season’s hitting average, Zimmerman has also very good career hitting average of .287 along with 153 home runs, 593 RBIs and .353 OBP.
Experts also believe that the latest progress of Nationals ace third baseman Zimmerman is a very good sign for Washington side. And in the coming season his role will be crucial.
Currently the Nationals have two other third basemen as well who are considered future backbone of the team.
Carlos Rivero and Anthony Rendon are about to start their careers in the coming Major League event while expectations are already high from them.
Along with these two potential new arrivals, the Nationals have also some experienced individuals in the infield.
Shortstop Ian Desmond along with second baseman Danny Espinosa and Adam LaRoche have also performed well in the past and now roaring for another thrilling season.
Desmond and Espinosa were exceptional as both hit 42 home runs combined in the last season and achieved appreciation from the Nationals entire roster.
Meanwhile, the Nationals entire team is also looking in great shape and who knows; they will outburst their new offensive approach and win the World Series.
