Washington Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo unhappy with losing streak – NFL News
As the losing streak of Washington Redskins in the current season of the National Football League continues to extend, the linebacker Brian Orakpo vented his frustration out saying that other teams are starting to lose respect
for Redskins.
Redskins’ latest defeat came at the hands of Miami Dolphins in the week 10 game. Apparently, Orakpo seemed disappointed to see the losing streak stretching to five and said that he has never been in such position before.
“I’m just frustrated, man. Pissed off. Tired of losing,” he said. “I don’t know, man. It’s just frustrating. You’re trying to hold your head up, but it’s just frustrating and we just can’t get it together. It’s like every team
we’re going to play, they already know they’re going to win because of the way we’re playing. It’s just ridiculous, man. We’ve got to figure out a way to turn this [stuff] around.”
Redskins were far from impressive during the last season as well and managed to win only six of their 16 games. Orakpo, however, thinks that things at the camp are much more different than last year.
He maintained that the team’s mind-set is completely different and that the coaches, and players and other concerned parties were all on-board in the decision-making process. He was of the view that the team can still regain its
form if the players do not give up and keep their fighting spirits alive.
“I wish I had an answer for you, man. It’s frustrating. We just have to dig deep. It’s cliche, but I’m running out of material. I’ve never been through something like this before. We just have to keep fighting, man. I know we’ve
got a great team,” the 25-year-old linebacker said.
Redskins have won only three games this season with six defeats under their belt that has put them at the bottom of the National Football Conference East division. With 15.1 points and an average of 310.1 yards (223.4 passing yards
and 86.7 rushing yards) per game, they are ranked at 28th spot in the league table.
