Former Pakistani pacer Wasim Akram is hopeful that the bilateral ties between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 and India are well on their way to being revived.
“I am a great advocate of Indo-Pak cricket and I hope all the issues between the two countries are solved so that millions of fans are not deprived of such entertaining cricket,” he said.

2007 – a five-match ODI series which India won 3-2.
In addition to the BCCI’s refusal to consider any of the PCB’s proposals for bilateral series, Pakistani players were also not made available in the auctions for the Indian Premier League tournament, as well as being barred from the Champions League T20.
However, recent developments between the two boards suggest that the resumption of ties is imminent – the BCCI recently invited PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf to watch the final of the IPL, where he also had the chance to meet the BCCI chief N http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ashraf-c46397
dubbed the session a “fruitful meeting”, and went on to add that a series between the two nations might be played by the end of this year, or in the coming one.
In addition, the BCCI has also allowed Pakistan’s domestic T20 champions, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sialkot-c842 Stallions, to feature in the upcoming edition of the Champions League.
Akram, who served as the bowing coach for the IPL 2012 champions, the Kolkata Knight Riders, hailed the step, claiming that the invitation to the Champions League was a major move, as people on both sides of the border wanted cricketing ties between the
two nations to be revived.
“I acted as an ambassador for Pakistan as everyone knows me and during my stay I have seen that people want Indo-Pak cricket to start and for me the invitation for Sialkot is the first step,” Akram said.
“Pakistani players http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 and Indian fans have realised they can add to the charm of the league,” he added.
