Legendary fast bowler, Wasim Akram, has expressed that he is always ready to help the young fast bowlers of his country, if the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 Cricket Board (PCB) invites him properly.
The 46-year-old is considered to be one of the greatest left-arm fast bowlers to have played the game as he has more than nine hundred wickets at the ultimate level of the sport.
Earlier this month, former Pakistan captain and PCB’s Director of International Cricket, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Intikhab-Alam-c64380, expressed in the media that the board is interested in acquiring the services of the great bowler for a camp for young and upcoming cricketers, which
is scheduled to be held later this month in Lahore.
"We hope Wasim will take out some time to mentor the talent as his experience will be very helpful," Alam had said.
Akram, however, claims that he has not been contacted by anyone in the PCB as yet but said that he would love to help out the Pakistani youngsters.
The former Pakistan captain works for an international sports channel and is also the bowling coach of Kolkata Knight Riders, which won the fifth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). This is the reason why Wasim wants PCB to cooperate with him while
scheduling the event, so that his other commitments are not hurt.
"I have no idea as no one has contacted me from the PCB yet. I’m ready if properly invited. I’d love to work with young talent. I think I can be really helpful but the PCB has to ask me first so that I can work around my schedule," the legendary fast bowler
expressed.
