Wasim Akram urges Lancashire to sign Junaid Khan for next few years – Cricket News Update
Referring to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Junaid-Khan-c77037’s phenomenal performance in the English domestic season, the legendary fast bowler, Wasim Akram, has urged Lancashire County to sign the young Pakistan pacer for next few years, since he will be a valuable asset for the side.
On the recommendation of Akram, the English County hired Junaid initially for the ongoing Friends Life T20 tournament, but subsequently extended his contract till the end of the season.
The 21-year-old paceman did not let his guru down and displayed a fabulous performance in the Twenty20 tournament. In seven games, Junaid claimed 10 wickets at an excellent strike rate of 16.2, playing a pivotal role in taking his County to the quarter-final
round of the league.
Citing Junaid’s great show with the ball, Akram described that the young pacer can emerge as a superstar over the coming few seasons.

Talking about his personal experience of playing for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 skipper stated that he learnt a lot by playing for the County, adding that it was just like a family and he never spent a boring moments at the Red Rose.
“Not winning the Championship with Lancashire was a huge disappointment for me, just as it has been for every Lancastrian. But I think they have a very good chance of doing it this season. They have a very good combination of youth and senior players and
the team looks very balanced,” shared the 45-year-old former cricketer who has 374 wickets to his credit for the Red Rose.
Meanwhile, Akram expressed that he will always be available to guide young bowlers who are playing for his former team.
