You've just gotten a small peak into the worldview of the modern Republican party, where they are impervious to irony or shame.

True irony would have been having his prompter go out right then, and seeing him stumble all around the stage while squinting to see his cue cards.

Yes, but Thompson was appointed to the Committee looking into Watergate! While on that committee, he took privileged information from the special prosecutor to Nixon and the White House, telling them that the prosecuter had the tapes! He was even prompted what to ask my Nixon's lawyer, who called Thompson "dumb" to Nixon!

The Republicans did not talk about 1 issue. Not ONE! Are you really surprised by all the criminals who belong to that Lilly white Republican convention?

Everyone uses teleprompter. He made the  mention, because every time Senator O'bama doesn't have a teleprompter he stumbles, stutters and makes gaffs. Actually he stutters sometimes with the prompters.

He was referring to a man (Obama) who only makes speeches from a teleprompter rather than actually doing something.  His reference to the teleprompter is only to drive home the point that without prepared text Obama sounds pretty weak and confused.

I don't think they 'get it' if they think others can't see the teleprompters, as they look invisible from the audience.

Republicans spent the better part of last night telling me they were going to end corruption and clean house etc, and then ended that by telling me I should vote McCain/Palin because they never had a person who could field dress a moose before.

Because Palin has never written a speech in her life. because she doesn't have positions on most issues. A Washington professional speech writer has written the speech she will deliver tonight. All of it will agree with every McSame issue. she use to be a Sports caster so may be better at reading scripts than Obama, but she too will use a teleprompter.

Fred Thompson is an actor and he is not even very good at that so for him to criticize anyone is pretty much a joke but then there is a lot of that going around the GOP lately!....Jacob W, I have seen Obama many times and there is no one out there that needs a teleprompter less than he does.
