Wasn't someone right about religion?

Agent Smith, just because Smith was the main antagonist in the Matrix, he still was kind of a protagonist. He gave me some good lines and tips like "it is inevitable." He was right, Smith was always right, because the end is inevitable. He also said "human beings are a disease." Which he was dead on. Smith also said love was so insipid, love was just a feeble human invention and such a weak emotion that can be used against us and make us vulnerable and exposed. Smith was right from the very beginning even when he was an agent of the Matrix, he was smarter than the upgrades, and even all the Matrix agents combined. Since he had all the knowledge they lacked...Shove that up your earpiece Agent Johnson. Agent Smith didn't need religion to point out the obvious things religious people miss.

  1. That was a made up character, dude....

  2. Oookkkaaaaaaayyyyy

Someone watched the matrix too much!

  3. Fiction or not, there is a lot of gnostic wisdom to be gleaned from The Matrix.  The writers studied a lot of ancient mystical writings and very deliberately worked some of that into the story.

  4. I need Beer

  5. Actually, Smith's point about humans behaving like a virus--not establishing a natural balance with its environment and multiplying until every available resource is consumed--is also good science (or philosophy, if you prefer).  Most animals don't act like that...

  6. The Matrix is fictional, but they do have some good points.

You're completely right about how religious people miss obvious things. I agree that love makes us exposed and can be used against us, but it also heals us.

    Good morals in there.
