What if John McCain and Sarah Palin cut their party show in half and donate the savings to THE PEOPLE hammered by hurricaine Gustav in Louisiana? The Dem party sounded like a broken record. How irresponsible is such opulence in the face of human suffering?

  1. If they really care about the people why not just cancel the convention and endorse Obama /Biden?

  2. The Democratic convention was an opulent Mardi Gras of wanton spending that exemplifies the carefree waste and nonsubstantive

talk of change without explaining what type that hallmarks Obama.

The Democratic congress ought to outlaw spending so much of the taxpayers money on these big parties in view of our economic crises and more important matters to fund.

I sure hope John McCain will bring a modicum of modest show and spending to the Republican Convention. While some expenses were

locked in long ago, obviously some will be less, i.e. building security wages if they aren't actually earned.

  3. what?  and you think the repubs are going to throw a low budget shin-dig?  i heard they might just make it a pot-luck and have prayer circles for the sad souls that just can't seem to understand how a magical book, full of desert prejudices, and is twisted into hate, just can't seem to get on board.  heard sarah was bringing moose jerky and was going to preach to poor people about how they should take on the economic hardships or raising a disabled child, even though they can barely support themselves.  i heard mccain is going to thumb it up to MN to save us all a couple bucks.  lol.

  4. No, it wasn't. Nearly 80,000 people wanted to be at a history making event. Cutting the Republican campaign down by a few days isn't going to save much money. Don't be fooled. Vendors have to be paid whether you live up to your contracted commitments or not. The only reason the Republicans are trying to sell that story is because they've been having a hard time selling tickets to fill up the 10,000 seat convention center.

  5. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha You are truly a tool. Run in front of a bus.
