  1. There's always a bounce after a convention... it's historically so. Which is why it was a big deal last week that there wasn't a bounce for Obama all week (in fact, he was slipping in the polls) until his speech on Thursday.

By the way, according to the latest Zogby poll, it's McCain who's ahead by two. So it's all in whose poll you want to look at and who you want to believe.

  2. The best case scenario- I couldnt have written a better script.... LOL

  3. Why are Dems so obsessed with the latest polls?  I will tell you why it stems from your internal turmoil and deep seated fear that you have once again picked a losing candidate. Palins choice as VP was a severe body blow to Obama and a slap in the face to the Democratic Party. Your calling this like a prize fight a title bout ! So what your fighter leads in points we have many more rounds to go and hes not going to be standing at the end your boys going down by knockout and you know it !

  4. Obviously your stupid or just uninformed. This is actually a CNN libturd poll that only shows him up by 1. Dems are running scared i'm sure since obama actually lost points after the convention...

  5. No. Biden did not give Obama any bump, so we can't ask Palin to give the GOP a big bump. It was the CONVENTION that gave Obama a big bump. Let's not set the bar low for Biden and high for Palin.

  6. Sarah Palin was truly a gift ... to the Democratic Party

  7. A whole seven points?

From the most historical moment in the history of a party convention?

    Seven points?

You guys got more than that from, "I'm John Kerry. Reporting for duty!".

  8. Actually its 8 points from one gallup poll

Unfortunately the "bump" he received was from the DNC...and was way lower then the 15 plus points he was planning on getting. Going to be a very tight race.

    Oh. FYI.

The biggest post-convention bounce collapse had come four years earlier. Just after the Democratic convention, Michael Dukakis surged ahead of George H. W. Bush in Gallup’s poll, 55 percent to 38 percent, but Bush won the election with a 53.4 percent to 46.7 percent popular-vote majority

Update! Sorry you were correct from the latest Gallup

  9. i hope people are waking up to the c**p that republicans shovel at us. they think were stupid

  10. Seriously. I mean, there are dozens of other much more qualified candidates he could have chosen. (and many were women, if that was important to him)

He only met with her twice before choosing her. What kind of judgement is that? And some of us actually want this guy running the United States?!?

But still, there's another 2 months before election day. Who knows what else can happen between now and then.

  11. Time will tell. Not only is the public fickle, but they have a short memory.

  12. Well, pretty soon there'll be nothing left in the dark about her or McCain, then all of Obama's skeletons will start coming out (despite his best efforts to suppress it) then we'll see where we're at.  (Which room do you suppose Bill Ayres would ask to stay in if he gets elected?  Will he have to fight with Reverend Wright for the Lincoln bedroom??)
