  1. What is wrong with you people!?  Why are people asking such ignorant questions?  What is your point?  MLK didn't run for president, so really...what is your point?  He was a Civil Rights Activist and Pastor.  It's just like people to try and minimize what that man did for many.

  2. Airing up basketballs on the local court doesn't count as community organizer.

  3. Yes.  So?  Did MLK run for President of the U.S.?

You guys take / make things too personal.  No one has criticized Obama for being a community organizer.  It just doesn't equate to executive experience.

  4. Possibly, but more importantly MLK was the leader of a congregation. (Pastor) He was the leader of a movement. Obama has led nothing. Obama is no MLK. To suggest so is an insult to MLK.

BTW - If MLK was running today, with the same attitude and beliefs he had then, I would vote for him in a heartbeat.

  5. Maybe you could use that term to discribe some of what MLK has done.

But "Community Organizer" is apparenlty a broad term that could mean many different things. It could mean great & wonderful stuff & it could mean he was just part of the political machine, getting people who he thinks are most likely to vote for  his perfered candidate to the polls.

  6. Sure was, and he was in no way qualified to be President of the USA.

  7. MLK would laugh at Obama.

It should come as no surprise that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican. In that era, almost all black Americans were Republicans. Why? From its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party until today, the Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks. And as one pundit so succinctly stated, the Democrat Party is as it always has been, the party of the four S's: Slavery, Secession, Segregation and now Socialism.

  8. It is interesting the way that his reputation has turned around the way it has.  While Martin Luther King was alive he was the most hated man in America.

  9. MLK organized more communities than you could shake a stick at.

Obama will win the community organizer vote.

  10. You betcha!
