  1. to little to late, Pauly is at 140, chavez jr is at 154

  2. A while ago, it was rumored that they were going to fight for Malignaggi's title.  However, it does not look like that will happen now for a few reasons:

    1.  Chavez, Jr. can no longer make the junior welterweight (140) limit, which is the weight class where Malignaggi has a title.  Chavez, Jr. has been fighting at junior middleweight (154) most recently.

    2.  It is very likely that Chavez, Jr. will face Hector Camacho, Jr. in his next fight since they both won a few weeks ago on the same card.

    3.  If he had faced Paul Malignaggi, he would have probably gotten schooled because he is not ready for someone of that calibur yet.  He is still facing bums, and before he challenges anyone for a title in any weight, he needs to at least fight a worthy opponent.  The guys that he's been facing recently have good records on PAPER, but if you actually take a look at the guys that they beat to get their records, you'll see that they have also been facing nobodies.

  3. Chavez Jr. is still too young. He's had a fair number of pro fights, but I don't think he had much of an amateur background at all. So he is still in the development stage. That would have been a big leap.

  4. according to the ESPN.com Schedule i did not read about it but, i dont think Paul has anything for Julio.
