Does anyone know any effective wasp repellents I can wear while on holiday? I'm going to one of the Greek Islands and I have recently heard that the island i am going to has a lot of wasps. I AM TERRIFIED of wasps. A few years ago i went to Montenegro and every beach we went to had millions of wasps. I spent most of the time running up and down the beach, screaming, sitting in the freezing ocean up to my neck in water, wouldn't come out, crying... as I really am petrified, and they were REALLY attracted to me. They didnt bother my boyf but i had 8 or 10 trying to land on me at any given time. (no i wasnt wearing perfume)

I am starting to dread my holiday and need some solutions.

Please PLEASE help

  1. You need to get some Citronella oil. You can either get it from a pharmacy and use it as directed (you might have to mix it with a baby oil or something if putting it on your skin) or you can get it in the form of candles...they are usually yellow and are fairly cheap. Try the supermarket. The oil is a natural insect repellant and smells ok so wont bother you too much. The candles are good if you are sitting out at night to keep the mosquitoes away too!

    Have a great holiday :)

  2. Try"Jungle Formula"

I think the liquid is stronger than the Gel,check it out.

You can get it from camping shops and probably chemists as well.
