Waspinajar to take down the competition in the Heat 2 at Peterborough
The Heat 2 that is scheduled for Saturday, 28th July at Peterborough over 420 metres flat has brought together a rather strong and highly versatile line-up. All of the entries have either won during the most recent outing and if that is not the
case then they have been placed through the last race that they took part in.
The £125 prize money has lined up Bakari, Murlens Crash, Waspinajar, Millwards Tiger, Monleek Sloopy and Fanore Mac.
Forest Master’s three-year-old fawn daughter has been facing the ranking fluctuations at their extreme, either she lands the race or bumps into the slots below the third position. The latter incidence has occurred very rarely through the last two months.
During the 2012 season her predominant racing track has been Peterborough. The distance that the three-year-old out of, Forest Joy, has been racing over is 420 metres.
The facts that make her case strong for tonight’s success are that she is coming out of straight two wins between which is sandwiched a training session. This means that the three-year-old has raced just once after the training session that was effective
enough to make her land the very next race.
Waspinajar won the John Smiths Peterborough Derby 2012 – Heat 1 on 25th July, 2012 at Peterborough over 420 metres. After leashing out from the third gate, she sped and was the undisputed leader concluding the race in 25.70 seconds.
She defeated the runner-up of the race, Out In Chil, by four lengths.
Another very strong contender for the race is the three-year-old, Fanore Mac, who is unbeaten in the three career outings. The P. Ward trained has raced at Peterborough over 420 metres. After bagging the first two attempts of the career, the connections
thought the better of it and drilled the three-year-old twice.
The training served the purpose, it helped the black and white dog guard his form that was reflective in the third career success. Winning today will extend his streak to four.
Winning in the field so competitive is truly challenging and it is only the retention of form and conviction that will get the contestants through.
