  1. Gasing or smoke bomb most probably. That's what they did when we had a hornet's nest in our loft.

  2. They won't likely do anything unless disturbed.  That said if they are disturbed they react quickly and can sting repeatedly (unlike bees) so they are dangerous.

They make aerosol sprays specifically for wasps.  They tend to have significant range (10 meters or so) so that you can spray them without getting stung.

I would suggest you spray the nest at least twice before approaching it to remove the nest (being cautious when you do) and then drop the nest into a garbage bag (and of course tie it closed immediately and dispose of it).

Once the nest is gone the wasps will not likely return but you want to keep an eye on it to make sure no "survivors" are rebuilding.

    Peace.

  3. Smoke maybe?

  4. The bloke turns up in a council van, he gets a backpack out which has a lance applicator.

He goes up to the loft, sticks the lance in the nest and squirts ant powder inside. That's it, no messing job done, they will all be dead by morning.

It really is ant powder and if you get Alan, he's a canny lad :0)

Just stick the empty nest in a bin bag.

  5. They will probably smoke bomb the loft and then go in to remove the nest.

  6. I think they will call in a specilist company, which will gas them, or spray the nest killing all the wasps, then they will take out the nest.

  7. when we had wasps we got the council out, what they do is go up into your loft and spray the wasps with an insecticide, the wasps usually start dying within an hour and within two days the whole nest will be dead and you can remove it, if it is a place they can't reach they put a pipe in the entrance hole and do it that way, sometimes they will remove the nest but most the time they leave it but don't worry with in a few days they will be dead, best of luck hope you get rid of the wasps honey
