Wasps and hornets build nests in my bird houses and the birds don't have a chance. How do I keep them away?

  1. Wasps and Hornets tend to build earlier than birds, I would put out the bird house later in the yr.  At least in my area that is true.  Best of luck.


  2. move the birds. whether it has to be permanent or temporary, at least until the wasps go away

  3. Take all of the nests out right now and don't give them bees a chance to sting your birds which could kill your birds. Only breeding in the late summer months and on into early winter will bring you better, stronger, and healthier clutches and they can breed on into march and april and then take all the nests out for the summer time resting your birds and raising your now new babies, replacing the nests again in late summer time near early winter. Plus during these times of late summer and early winter breeding, the bees will be long gone by then, yearly.
