  1. You have created a great habit of recycling your paper.  Now you need to get others into that habit.   I agree that each person needs a special paper recycling bin at their desk.  Maybe you have  a contest to get people to start doing it and paying attention - something fun.  This will help others to pick up your good habits.

  2. tell everyone in your office to throw the useless papers in a recyling bin instead of a green bin, its fairly simple, but you have to make the first move. Start recycling and others will follow. dont waste. try to conserve, yourself, as much as possible !

  3. soon we will have deficit of papers!

  4. I think recycling is a good thing for certain products for instance aluminum but products like paper it's a double edge sword imo...why is because paper breaks down quickly unlike plastic, metal etc so is the cost and pollutants (there are lots of pollutants when a product is recycled!) of recycling paper worth it when it can easily biodegrad? I feel caught in the cross hairs on that one really...you could ask/go to the head of the company or send e-mail however it is done there and see if they will put recycling cans (small usually blue plastic garbage cans with white recycle logo it) around the office, we now have them in our building for all the junk mail that comes in and it does come in handy, I will recycle all the juink and news ads etc. that come in. That's one idea another would be to utilize programs like excel for billing but I think in a field such as yours there will always be a paper trail unfortunately...good luck!

  5. It sounds like a lot of the paper your office generates is used once and tossed. Can you switch to more electronic communications like email, electronic billing, online banking, etc? Is the paper you use printed only on one side? Can you reuse it, printing on the second side? Also, call a couple local printer/copy shops and see if they will take papers printed on one side and make scratch pads for your office. And switch to buying recycled paper - that way you help close the recycling loop!

  6. ask your boss for permission first but place a large recycling bin in every room / cubicle and dont let them use a trashcan
