As a batsmen you can have an average of 15 and have a strike rate of 150. That's mor of a tail-enders stats.

A good quality batsmen will have a good average.

it has to be average

if a batsman makes a 100 in one innings and gets 0 in other innings his strike rate wont matter

in ODI's and test cricket average matters a lot

but in T20 strike rata matters as T20 is  a fluke

The moral duty of batsman to either take the early wicket or lose the wicket immediately  without making any run. If  fast scoring is need of the hours he should stay ion the crease and play many balls defensive and if the staying is need, then try to make the runsny staking his wicket.
