Wat Should i Get Vista or XP?

Hey people i'm just wondering, if it would be better to get vista or xp

cos i am sorta building a custom PC and, i love playing games and graphics and i heard with vista if u have a good video card the graphics are a lot better then XP but, most of my mates have vista and they hate it they say its a waste of money

so can anyone please give me like a detailed explanation which one to get cos i'm really stuck

i dont thnk vista has got any problems with normal users

go ahead and take vista

moreover i dont think wether u wud be able to get an original xp now ...

well, i work at Intel and Intel will only use XP because Vista has caused a few problems in its systems.  Intel told all its employees that if they want to use Vista, its at their own risk. Intel will use XP until Microsoft retires Vista and has a newer generation op system. I use XP because Vista sux.

vista is really good if you have enough memory for it.you need atleast 1gb of memory for it to run right

Vista ONLY if you want dx10 graphics.

If you are happy with dx9 then xp is the better OS

Dont let anyone suck you into frame rates debates - on average they're pretty similar now since 10.1

There are some variations for specific games

Its a big debate, but if you consider that one in three new machines sold with vista currently has its os replaced with xp this tells you a lot about the general reception vista has received.

I have vista and have never had a problem with it, they say it is a memory hog but i wouldn't know about that with 3GB RAM but all of the graphics in games i play are crystal clear and i am really glad that i got vista
