Wat age is good to start babysitting at?

im 12.. pretty responsible.... i wanna start babysitting so wat age??

i would say 14 or 15 is a good age. 12 seems a little young to me but if you know the kids and their parents well and they trust you then i say go for it.

i started when i was 14 and it was for several families. mostly just one kid but there was a little boy and a girl who could be a handful sometimes (even though they were kinda my favourite lol!) .

Mainly you have to be really sure you can cope with the responsibility as your taking care of other people most precious items and they may be sweet when u just spend an hour os so with them without the responsibility being on you, but you have to know you can deal with it if they dont want to go to bed or argue with each other which i usually found the main things to be (although apparantly i was quite lucky according to my friends stories!!!!)

I your going to start now i recommend babysitting kids of families you already know rather than hiring yourself out to new people just for an hour or so not a whole evening to get used to them and for them to get used to you being the responsible one!

usually parents start trusting younger children with 13 year olds. usually teenage years are the most popular, because they can most likely handle 5-7 year olds, give or take a year.

but people might consider you if you're responsible. ask around put up flyers, because you could convince the lucky people you're about to baby sit.

but if there's more than one child, they would want older people to handle whatever could happen.

not until 14 but I perfer 16, baby sitting is a huge responsability and its a lot harder than it seems. You have to make sure you are prepared for anything and know what is involved. You have to know what to do and how to do it. I wouldn't hire anyone below 16
