both are ok...JL is over priced.

the brands do not need to match...in most cases you don't want them to...company A may make really nice speakers while company B makes nice amps. buying the best from each will be better in the long run.

what speakers have you got??

it works better to have alpine if you have alpine speakers, and looks nice aswell,

same as panasonic and all others,
