Wat antidepressants would i get?

hi im 15 almost 16 and im gonna be put on antidepressants soon and i was wondering wat kind they will give me or do i get to choose or something

you could get anything but i may be trial and error....my son started out on wellbutrin at 16 and is now on lexapro at 18

Effexor

Zoloft

Lexapro

Cymbalta

Wellbutrin

But your Doctor can be the best to choose which meds you'll be placed on

your provider will choose which is best for you.  The most commonly used ones are SSRI medications like Prozac and Zoloft, there are SNRI's like effexor, and others like Wellbutrin that are in a class of their own.  Depending on your symptoms, one will be prescribed to you accordingly.    Don't worry about choosing one, your doctor is more familiar with how these medications work and will give you the best one.
