Perhaps Costa Rica's greatest accomplishment and achievement was back in l945 when they totally disbanded their military and instead of wasting all that money on it decided to fund the Education and Health Care of all of its citizens!

What a beautiful concept!

And as a result of this over 50% of the Costa Ricans speak English as well as Spanish (their native language) giving them a 93% literacy rate, and are the healthiest folks in all of North, Central, and South America!
